Nashville Ice Storm Update
In late January, a historic ice storm swept through Nashville and Middle Tennessee, leaving behind significant impacts that are still being felt in our community. As recovery efforts continue, we’re grateful for the resilience shown by our community and the neighbors, first responders, and crews who stepped up to support one another during this challenging time.
If you live in the Nashville area and are still without power, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our offices are available to provide a warm place to shower, work, and charge your devices, and we will also provide a grocery gift card to help support you during this time.

What you should know about Pennies
Pennies are legal tender but are costly to produce (each costs more than one cent to make), so while they remain in circulation, many businesses and individuals choose to minimize their use for efficiency. You should know that in the U.S. there is no law requiring businesses to accept pennies for transactions, but if you owe a debt, they must generally be accepted as payment. Practically, it’s smart to save pennies in a jar and cash them in periodically using a coin-counting machine or bank service, or donate them to charity, rather than spending time handling them individually. For budgeting and accounting purposes, you can round cash transactions to the nearest nickel where permitted, while still pricing items exactly, helping reduce friction without losing value.
